Margot is a graduate of Colgate University where she studied biology and religion. Margot completed Teton Science Schools' Graduate Program, and is working toward a Master's of Education degree and teacher certification from Montana State University. For two summers, Margot developed and directed "Exploring Nature Through Art And Music," a first through eighth grade summer program of Journeys School.

Peter Simpson

Peter received a B.A. in Sociology from Dartmouth College. During his time at Darmouth, he studied in Denmark, directed a nationally-acclaimed singing group and was a sailing instructor. Before coming to Journeys School, Pete interned at Park School in Brookline, MA, where he taught middle school humanities and math and coached soccer, basketball and lacrosse. In Boston, he worked as a private tutor and as a high school choral director for the PALS Children Chorus organization. Pete has also directed music and soccer programs at a camp for boys in Maine, and spent a year in business and sales management. Pete's passions include singing, soccer, reading, writing and boats.

Charles Grayson

Charles received his Masters of Ed. from Simmons College in Boston , and completed his undergraduate in environmental science from Colby College in Waterville , ME. Before completing the graduate program on the Kelly campus last summer, he taught high school biology and environmental science. He was also a language arts tutor for 4 years at the Landmark School in Beverly, MA., working with students with language-based learning disabilities. He received his certification in moderate disabilities, grades 8-12. Charles especially enjoys hiking, birds, baseball and winter.

Joanna Snyder

Joanna continues to interweave her two passions of scientific research and teaching throughout her career. After completing the TSS graduate program in 2000, she spent a year sailing as an assistant scientist on research schooners with SEA Semester. Jo has her Masters in Education and K-8 certification (science emphasis) from University of Michigan. She taught 8th grade science for three years at an innovative public school district outside Boston, while returning to Jackson in the summers to work for the Conservation Research Center. In her first year at Journeys School, Jo was excited to create a spring science fair involving students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Her current intellectual hobby involves the connections between current brain research and learning, particularly with adolescent minds.

Charlotte Quesada

After earning her B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Development from the University of Virginia , Charlotte became the coordinator for the Focus on Success program at the Jackson Hole High School . This experience led her to Prescott College , where she earned her M.A. in Multicultural Education with a Spanish endorsement. Most recently, she taught Spanish at the Seattle Girls' School and the Bush School in Washington . In her free time, Charlotte enjoys outdoor adventures, reading, and travel.

Karl Van Sycle

Karl graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. degree in elementary education. He holds lifetime teaching certification in Texas and is certified to teach in Wyoming. After graduation, he taught science and math at Hernandez Intermediate School in San Marcos, Texas. Also while at Hernandez, he was the sixth grade science department chair. After coming to Wyoming, he taught all subjects in middle school at Red Top Residential Treatment Center in Wilson, Wyoming. He teaches social studies and math at Journeys School. His interests include fly fishing, fly tying, computers, mythology, aikido, bonsai and ikebana. He has been a volunteer at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, Orville's Mission and Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association.
