The K-2 program at Journeys School is focused on developing early literacy and numeracy skills while giving students a solid understanding of the Jackson Hole community. Collaborative decision making and teamwork are of utmost importance to create a safe and productive learning environment. Multi-age classes offer opportunities for students to take on leadership roles within the classroom. Trimesters are based on themes with one multi-day journey occurring each trimester. Science, social studies and Spanish are all taught in an integrated and hands-on manner. Students are frequently out in the community working on real-world projects.
