Upper School (9-12)

The upper school curriculum consists of a challenging and integrated set of courses. By mixing innovative content with the traditional disciplines of English, mathematics, the sciences, social studies, languages, and the arts, students develop the wisdom to make educated decisions while maintaining their unique perspective of the world. The curriculum is designed for students in the 21st century, focusing on both the local and global issues of social equity, economics, and the environment.  Extensive use of technology is a critical component of the curriculum. The upper school follows the Journeys School purpose of integrating ecology, culture and community to ensure academic excellence and personal success.

The upper school program book (599KB PDF) describes our curriculum in more detail and provides general information about the upper school structure.
