Registration
Please make sure to complete online registration. For licensing purposes, we need all registration documents completed before the start of school. Click here to go to online registration. If you need your username and password resent, please contact Sam Kitchen (sam.kitchen@journeysschool.org).
 

START Bus Schedule

To view other START Bus schedules (Town Shuttle, Teton Valley, Teton Village and Star Valley) please go to http://www.startbus.com. Town Shuttle and Teton Village bus connections are free for Journeys School students. Please contact START to purchase Teton Valley or Star Valley bus passes which are half-price for ages 13 and under.
 
First Day of School
Wednesday, September 1, 8:15am-3:30pm (2:45 for pre-k)
We look forward to welcoming all students for the 2010-11 academic year.
 
Parent Picnic Potluck / Class Meetings

Thursday, September 2, 5pm / 6pm
Class meetings and an important orientation will begin at 5:00pm in each of the classrooms. Childcare will be provided on the playfield from 5-6pm. Directly following, we invite all families to share in a Picnic Potluck for all of Journeys School, beginning at 6:00pm in the dining hall. The main course of hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs are generously donated by Colleen and Bob Grady. We ask that families contribute to the potluck as follows: Pre-K through 5th grade families please bring side dish (salad, veggies, pasta, fruit, bread, etc) and 6th-12th grade families please bring dessert (cookies, cupcakes, etc). Potluck items (please mark your dishes) can be dropped off in the dining hall prior to your class meeting.
 
Community Lunch
Friday, September 3, 11:30am
No sign-up is required for community lunch as all students are invited to enjoy Friday hot lunches this year. (There is no fee for community lunch.) Parent volunteers are encouraged to assist with community lunch. All lunches include garden fresh salad, orange slices, cookie and milk.
September 3rd:   Spaghetti with Turkey Meat Balls, Garlic-Cheese Toast
September 10th: Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Won-Ton Soup
September 17th: Cheese Quesadilla, Black Bean Soup
September 24th: Organic Crunchy Chicken Strips, Half-Baked Potato
 
NEW Afterschool Programs
This year Journeys School is offering new and improved Afterschool Exploration and Afterschool Enrichment programs for students in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. Click here for descriptions, registration, and full programmatic details on both programs.
 
Calling all Mothers and Daughters!
Mothers, if you have a daughter aged 8-14, consider joining Travis Gay (Journeys School Learning Needs Coordinator) on a road trip and overnight to Salt Lake City on Wednesday, September 22. We will join Rosalind Wiseman, author of Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip and Boyfriends for an interactive discussion about confidence, friendships and common mother-daughter challenges.  This is an opportunity to celebrate our girls and bond with other mothers and daughters. Journeys School will provide transportation. Please contact Travis Gay at travis.gay@journeysschool.org if you are interested by Friday, September 3 to determine interest level. Old Bill’s Fun Run:
Saturday, September 11, 9:45am meet
Join students, parents, faculty, and friends for a group walk at Old Bill’s Fun Run. Students are asked to wear their Journeys School t-shirts to this community event. Meeting location is on the northwest corner of the square at 9:45 a.m. Please join our efforts to expand the classroom by contributing to Teton Science Schools through Old Bill’s Fun Run. Your gift will support curious students and exceptional faculty in program areas. If you would like to direct your gift to Journeys School, please select Teton Science Schools as the organization and make a note of your gift direction in the comments box of the online or hardcopy donation form. Grandparent’s / Grandfriend’s Day
